Who we are. alba.swiss GmbH, Hintere Bahnhofstrasse 12, 8853 Lachen SZ, Switzerland. UID CHE-290.618.304. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions, or anything you want changed or deleted: engage@alba.swiss.
What this site collects. Very little, by design. If you request an introduction, we receive what you type: your name, your contact details, and the name of the person who introduced you. If you write to us, we receive your message. That is the extent of it.
The introducer's name. Our model runs on introductions, so the form asks who vouched for you. That is someone else's personal data, and we treat it accordingly: we use it only to confirm the introduction with that person, which is how our door works, and for nothing else. By naming them, you are telling us they expect that call.
Why we process it and on what basis. To respond to you, to confirm the introduction, and, if a conversation starts, to run the relationship that follows. The legal basis is your consent (when you provide your contact details) and our legitimate interest in operating a by-introduction firm, and, where a contract follows, the steps needed to enter into it.
What we never do. We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not run advertising or share data with advertisers. We do not profile you. We publish little and promote nothing, and we treat your data the way we treat our clients' programmes: with discretion as standard.
Cookies and analytics. This site sets no cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, provided by our hosting provider, to count visits and measure how quickly pages load. Neither sets cookies or identifies you: visits are counted in aggregate, and the short-lived visitor signature Vercel derives from each request is discarded after 24 hours. Because nothing here identifies you or is stored on your device, we do not ask for consent before it runs. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
Where data lives. Our correspondence and records are held in our Microsoft 365 environment. Your data may also be stored outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA; in such cases we ensure an appropriate data transfer mechanism (the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision) is in place. Where a service provider processes data on our behalf, whether hosting, email or other, they do so under a data processing agreement, on our instructions and subject to appropriate technical and organisational security measures.
How long we keep it. If nothing comes of an enquiry, we delete it within twelve months. If a relationship follows, we keep what the relationship and Swiss law require, and no longer.
Your rights. Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (and, where it applies to you, the GDPR) you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing, withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal), and ask for it in a portable form. One email to engage@alba.swiss does it; we answer within thirty days. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, though we would rather you simply told us first.
Changes. If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
